Our Church Community

Who We Are & What We Believe

  • We are a community of believers, independent of any denomination,

  • We are committed to worshipping and serving the one true God.
    John 4:24, Matthew 22:37

  • We follow God’s commission to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
    Matthew 28:19-20

  • We believe that the Bible is the one true and inspired word of God
and that it is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
    2 Timothy 3:16

Our Vision & Faith at Stuart First Congregational Church

We will honor and glorify God in prayer, praise, thanksgiving, study, giving, baptism and communion through the indwelling Holy Spirit and intercession of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Psalms 29:2, 95:6, John 4:24).

Fellowship:

We will share a unified common faith (1 John 1:3), share a partnership in the ministry on the gospel (Philippians 1:5),
devote ourselves to a Biblical fellowship by edifying and caring one for another (Acts 2:42), and be given to hospitality
and a willingness to share what God has materially given us (Romans 12:13).

Stewardship:

We will use the resources such as time, finances, gifts, talents, and material possessions God has given us to advance His kingdom.
Realizing that everything we have and are belongs to God (Psalm 24:1); we will make a commitment to give tithes and offerings that honor the Lord with our substance (Malachi 3:8-11, Proverbs 3:9, 10).

Discipleship:

We will disciple our congregation through teaching, training, and equipping the saints, as led by the Holy Spirit.
Realizing that this process starts with ourselves, our families, our church and then our community (Ephesians 4:12),
We will strive to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

Evangelism:

We will promote greater involvement in worldwide evangelism by enthusiastically sharing the gospel and living Christ-like lives.
We will ask God to open doors of opportunity to witness, knowing that we are only the branches and He is the Vine (Isaiah 6:8, John 15:5).
